The new excavator national standard (first draft) formulated by the Excavation Machinery Branch of China Construction Machinery Industry Association proposes the definition of small excavators. “Crawler or wheel excavators with a total weight of less than or equal to 13T are collectively referred to as Mini-Excavators. Among them, excavators with a weight of less than 6T are called miniature excavators.”
